We have served closely with The Hub/Purchased and witnessed firsthand the lives impacted by the ministry. When you partner with The Hub-- you are not only playing a role in meeting the most vulnerable people in our communities physical need-- you are also playing a role in meeting their spiritual, mental and emotional needs. Supporting The Hub is one of the many ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. --1 John 3:18
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” --Mark 12: 28 - 31
Did you know that there are 39,370 individuals in Caddo Parish considered food insecure? That means that they do not have consistent access to one of their most basic needs, food.
This year at The Hub, we have seen an incredible increase in individuals needing access to food through our ministries at The Lovewell and Purchased: Not for Sale.
That is why this year's Food Fight is so important to us and to our city!
The Hub is on a mission to give everyone in our city access to a restored life, and often the pathway to a fully restored life begins with something as simple as access to food. Food is a huge way that The Hub not only meets the needs of people in our city, but builds bridges of trust that allow for future recovery and restoration.
The Hub serves those who are "food insecure" through both of our ministries.
